Leaving Town Alive

It was just an ordinary night when I first left my comfort zone to work in another country. I thought it was one of my career's biggest breaks...indeed it was. I guess it was time to give up my work in a public hospital and entertain better opportunities. I am sure I made the right decision, I just never thought I wouldn't be happy with it.

I work 10 hours a day. Some days are busy while some are the days when boredom could almost kill me. I also enjoyed working, but there are just days that I'd wish I never came here. There are issues that I don't like about my workplace and often, it would make me hope that 2 years will be over.

In my seven months of stay here, I went through a lot. From the simplest struggle of waking up in the morning to the battle of convincing myself to do the same thing the next day. Believe me, I have heard a lot from the people who'd rather not wake up. It's hard to contest with yourself trying to bluff your happiness for your own advantage.

During the times where I am not so mean about this place, I spend it thanking God for keeping up with me. I must have turned into a hateful, arrogant, careless person to avoid being damaged. I have tried all coping strategies but it was only through praying where I find myself less angry. That was the time when I chose to appreciate, rather than complain.

I may still have to face a lot of ordeals, but I am bringing my faith and my experiences with me. I will learn from it and use it for my best interests. Because, I believe it can save me from further impairment, and it's exhausting to keep whining. Nonetheless, this is the one thing I am sure--Whatever I went through, I will not let it destroy me and eat out the best of me for I will be leaving this town alive.

Lost and Found

I know you left me standing there
Out of the calm of the coldest air
I don't believe the words you said
But I can't find the words I want
Oh, I can't find the words I want

If you were gone in another life
I don't believe I would just survive
I could feel you next to me
An escape from the world I'm in
Oh, I'm afraid of the world I'm in

One day I will see Heaven's reach
I'll find the one who left me sleeping
Every war was another seed
That could feed every soul in need
Oh, I'm worn by the war in me

Somebody found me here
Somebody held my breath
Somebody saved me from the world you left
If you're gonna cry my tears
If you're gonna hold my breath
If you're gonna let me see the sun you set
Oh, I am lost and found
Oh, I am lost and found

Somebody found me here
Somebody held my breath
Somebody saved me from the world you left
If you're gonna cry my tears
If you're gonna hold my breath
If you're gonna let me see the sun you set
Oh, I am lost and found
Oh, I am lost and found
